1. What current trends are baffling you? Why?

The slang! I just can’t keep up.

2. Which Hogwarts house would you be in?


3. What is your favorite quote?

“Don’t give up, there’s no shame in falling down! True shame is to not stand up again!”

4.What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

Painting because it is relaxing.

5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Japan- I love the food and culture.

6. What’s your favorite emoji and why?

Heart Eyes emoji.  I am easy to please so I would send the heart eyes emoji when someone says something that makes me happy. For example, my husband would tell me “Let’s get sushi” and I would reply with a heart eyes emoji.

7. Are there any embarassing teaching moments that you’re willing to share? What are they?

Not very embarrassing but I laughed so hard, I made a snorting sound. The rest of the class then burst out in laughter.

8. If you could be anyone for a day, living or deceased, who would you be and why?

Steven Lim from Worth It (Buzzfeed). He goes to different countries and eats food at different price ranges. For example, he would eat a $5 slice of pizza and compare it to a $2000 slice of pizza.

9. What kind of student were you in high school?

I went through many phases through high school trying to find myself.  It was not until senior year I realized that being myself and not following trends from peer pressure would make me feel confident and independent. Despite the phases, I worked hard and made sure my grades were good because I wanted to graduate being proud of my accomplishments.

10. Did you ever see yourself becoming a teacher when you were in high school?

Yes, most of my life I imagined being a teacher because I love to help others and I love math. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to help others succeed.

11. Is there anything specific you wish you could teach but can’t/don’t have room in the cirrriculum for?

Probability applications. They are intriguing and can be fun to experiment with data.  

12. What was your first job?

Cahier at a local supermarket.

13. If you won the lottery, what would you do?

Find a new place to live and then travel eating my way country by country.

14. Where did you go to college? What was your major?

Montclair State University majoring in Mathematics.

15. Did you play sports in high school? If so, which one(s)?

I did not play sports in high school.

16. What is the most expensive thing you’ve broken?

Cellphone. Don’t text and walk down the stairs! It fell out of my hands, and rolled down the stairs.

17. Have you ever had a job outside of being a teacher? If so, what was it?

Cashier at a local supermarket.

18. Where did you grow up?

I was born in Saint Lucia and lived there until I was 7 then moved to Passaic, NJ until I completed college.
