Replacing Negatives with Positives

Replacing Negatives with Positives

Often times situations don’t follow through as we plan them in our heads. Instead of dwelling on the negativity of a situation, I try to search for the positive aspects. I’d rather be happy then waste my time being regretful, and wishing things were different. However, it is understandable that sometimes you have to push through, and experience sadness. I think it’s important to go through pain. Through every painful situation that I have endured, I always grow mentally. Even though it may seem difficult, it is very easy to change negatives, and make them positive.

First, own up to your faults. I have come to notice that people respect me more when I am able to admit to my wrongdoings. I try my hardest to remain nonchalant in most situations, even though sometimes I just want to scream. The way to remain nonchalant is to think ahead of the situation. For example: is this situation bringing me up? Or is it putting me down? I continuously ask myself what I have learned from the difficult things in life. By learning from my mistakes, I have now received a positive outgrowth on life. Once I am able to see my faults, I can improve myself so I can prevent that type of situation from happening again, or better handle the type of situation for the future.

While it is easier said than done, it is very beneficial for everyone to look at the glass half full. Try to take positives from any sort of negative situation, and better your life mentally and physically.
